The Taste of Cambridge Crab Cook-Off and Festival returns for its 12th year on July 9, 2016 from 5-10pm. Entry to the Taste of Cambridge street festival is free. Tickets to the Crab Cook-Off cost $35 at the event (while they last). Only ticket holders get to sample dishes and cast votes for their favorite crab cakes, craps soups, crab balls, and crab specialty dishes.

5-8 pm: Crab Tasting
You need a ballot to taste the Crab Cook-Off dishes. Buy in advance or at the event at Ticket/Ballot Booth, Race & Gay Streets.
5-10pm: Live Music
5pm: Juggling with Cascading Carlos
In the Kids’ Area*, near 421 Race St.
5:45pm: Dance Demonstration with ABM Dance Team; Muir Stage.
6pm: Watermelon Eating Contest; Race Stage.
6:30pm: Crabpicking Contest; Race Stage.
7:15 pm: Hula Hoop Contest; Race Stage.
7:45pm: Dance Demonstration with Eastern Shore Dance Academy; Race Stage.
8pm: Crab Cook-Off Winners Announced!
Judges’ Choice Winners announced. Race & Gay Sts.

10pm: Taste of Cambridge ends (but stay for live music in local restaurants including Jimmie & Sook’s, 527 Poplar Street; RAR Brewing, 504 Poplar St.; Canvasback, 420 Race St.; and Stoked, 413 Muir Street.
