Give Back & Refresh Second Saturday January

January is all about unwinding after a busy holiday season, and reconnecting with ourselves as we face another new year.

Galleries host special artist receptions starting at 5pm. The Dorchester Center for the Arts hosts the W. Robert Tolley Memorial Show with special artist reception between 5pm – 7:30pm. The Main Street Gallery hosts an artist reception for their new show “REBOOT” from 5pm til 8pm. Light drinks & refreshments served at both!

Retailers stay open late and have special events, promotions, and host refreshing concepts for you to try! Calista’s hosts T’s Divine Sweets AND Kerry Todd Essential Oils, evening proceeds benefit Carver’s Crew, an organization dedicated to supporting family who have experiences family loss.

Black Water Bakery hosts specials, adult winter warmer drinks, and LIVE MUSIC by budding young guitarist Rebeca Yockey. Black Water Bakery will be donating a portion of the day’s proceeds to CASA. The Wine Bar hosts the New Year Resolution Wine Tasting from 4pm – 8pm, with a portion of the tasting proceeds benefiting the Samaritan Women’s Center.

Other restaurants contributing a portion of their day’s proceeds include The High Spot (Dorchester YMCA), Stoked (DLAX), and Rock Lobstah (BAYWATER ANIMAL RESCUE).

Other activities earlier in the day on Second Saturday include:

RARTOONS: Simpsons version of adult Saturday morning cartoons. Doors open at 9am with special beer releases, breakfast menu and merchandise.

ROBIN HOOD SHOP GRAND OPENING of their FURNITURE ROOM: Come check out the new addition to the Robin Hood Shop thrift store on High Street. It’s the grand opening day of the furniture room. Visit anytime between 10am – 2pm on Second Saturday.
