Get Involved…Volunteer

Downtown Cambridge is made up of amazing volunteers, with each individual bringing vital contribution of time and talent to our organizational success. From idea to execution, volunteers are at the core of every project we take on.

We have a wide variety of volunteer experiences to offer. Some people volunteer for just a few hours at an event, while others work on projects that take several hours over the course of a few weeks or a few months to complete. Still others, sign up for ongoing leadership roles in the organization.

Here is a short list of volunteer activities that Cambridge Main Street helps carry out:

  • Streetscape, Design, & Placemaking,
  • Event & Festival Planning,
  • Promotional & Marketing Services,
  • Administrative Support,
  • Public Art Initiatives,
  • Graphic Design & Promotional Writing,
  • and more, depending on your interests & skills!

We are also looking for volunteers to fill key positions, especially for signature events like Taste of Cambridge, Downtown GrooveFest and other special activities. Descriptions for these key ongoing volunteer positions are found below.
