THRIVE is a free-to-the-community, multi-disciplinary, pediatric obesity intervention program focused on educating our community about the pursuit of healthy lifestyles. Our goal is to normalize physical activity, healthy eating, and emotional health in an effort to help our participants live long, independent, and productive lives.
We hope that by engaging in this program, individuals will become more: Tenacious, Hardworking, Resilient, Independent, Vigorous, and Empowered.
Families with students in 3rd-12th grade are welcome & encouraged. Groups are broken down in to 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade.
Each session is 4 weeks and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.
Transportation will be available from Dorchester County Public Schools to Heirloom Athletics.
Session 1: September 13th – October 6th
Session 2: October 25th – November 17th
Session 3: January 17th – February 9th
Session 4: March 7th – March 30th
*All sessions will be held at Heirloom Athletics at 419 Academy St in Cambridge, unless otherwise specified.
Tuesdays will be activity/mental health and Thursdays will be activity/nutrition/hobbies.
