State of the Choptank River

Join ShoreRivers at 5:30 this Thursday at the Robins Heritage Center in Cambridge for the State of the Choptank River presentation. We have a fun and informational evening planned which will include:
– An update and analysis on the Choptank River’s water quality based on ShoreRivers’ monitoring program which includes 50 sites sampled monthly throughout the river.
– KEYNOTE SPEAKER Jay Lazar, a scientist with NOAA who will be sharing a visual update on the oyster restoration work in the Choptank River sanctuaries during his presentation “Beneath the Surface.”
– Announcements sharing the MANY opportunities to get involved around the Choptank River Watershed including kayaking, oyster growing, and volunteering.
– Informational tables offered by the members of the Cambridge Clean Water Advisory Committee (CWAC) and the Envision the Choptank River partnership.
– Appetizers and light fare provided by the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay.
– Beverages provided by Brewer’s Art.
