Hugh Gregory Gallagher Theatre @ DCA

October 29, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$10.00 – $12.00

“Ten Seconds” – a play on Autism by Brian C. Petti, and winner of the 2012 Carlton E. Spitzer Excellence in Writing Award, is a powerful play which illustrates the negative effects of our perceptions of, and actions toward, people with challenges. This play is about a young man with Autism and how the people around him perceive his disability and the repercussions of not understanding the illness. Following the performance will be a talk back session, with an opportunity to share stories and talk with and about the cast, the play and the topic. This Gallery Stage performance is one night only on Saturday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for DCA members; $12 for non-members.

The Hugh Gregory Gallagher Theatre, Inc., a nonprofit tax exempt corporation, raises public awareness of disability issues and discrimination in our society through dramatizations of real-life and fictionalized experiences. They present powerful, entertaining and insightful plays on persons with physical, developmental and mental disabilities; and others discriminated against based on race, ethnic origin or sexual orientation to help reduce prejudice and stigma.
