Matchcoat Sojourner, LLC presents Munich, Germany native, Nikki Phelps from @NikkiOutWest who will share some of her baking history with classic German holiday recipes during our three hour journey that includes tastings before, during and after this hands on class.
Morning hands on baking class covers vanilla kipferl, linzer cookies, macarons and some lesser known, but equally delicious festive treats.
Afternoon hands on baking covers two German holiday classics: Stollen – a sweet bread filled with marzipan, ground almonds and raisins. Then Fruit bread – a dark and heavy loaf full of nuts and dried fruit soaked in rum.
Each baking experience begins with a classic German holiday inspired meal baked for the occasion – breakfast or lunch – to whet your appetite for future classes. And, includes traditional holiday beverage recipes aimed to keep you warm and happy (with a few that could even render you a bit tipsy) during your winter celebrations in Dorchester county and beyond…
