AUDITIONS: Groove Theatre Company

CAMBRIDGE, MD – Founding Executive Director E. T. WIlford is excited to announce audition dates for The Groove Theatre Company’s inaugural production of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN adapted by Jack Thorne (author of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) from the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist. All auditions will take place in downtown Cambridge at 447 Race Street. 

The principal and supporting roles are as follows:

OSKAR, MALE, age 18-21. Male lead. Youthful appearance. Energetic. Shy but demanding.

HAKAN MALE, age 40-60. Must be comfortable performing physical acts of lifting, stage falling, crawling, etc.

GREEK CHORUS- 2 MALES, ages 25-50. Greek chorus, playing two to four roles. Must be comfortable performing physical acts of lifting and supporting another person, stage falling, crawling, etc. Playing different ages between characters.

GREEK CHORUS FEMALE, age 20-40. Greek chorus, playing two roles. Comfortable playing younger and roles. Must be comfortable performing physical acts of stage falling, lifting, crawling, etc.

GREEK CHORUS FEMALE, age 20-50. Greek chorus, playing three roles. Comfortable playing different ages between characters. Must be comfortable performing physical acts of stage falling, crawling, etc

No preparation is necessary. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script as well as some movement exercises. Please arrive at least ten minutes early at 447 Race Street, Cambridge, MD.
