State of Maryland financial programs COVID-19 – Guidance: (listed are resources most relevant to our downtown business community)

Utilize the State of maryland Department of Commerce resource page found HERE.

MD Small Business Emergency Relief GRANT Fund – grants up to $10,000 supporting rent, utilities, etc during disruption to services. (Department of Commerce)

MD Small Business Emergency Relief LOAN Fund – 0% for 12 months, converts to 2% interest for 36 months. Up to $50,000 in loan funds, for businesses with 50 or fewer employees. (Department of Commerce)

Layoff Aversion Fund – up to $50,000 in loan support, commitment to response within 2 business days and technical assistance to complete / apply. (Department of Labor, licensing – DLLR).

Other programs – US Department of Labor Dislocated worker grant, Workshare Program. Assisting with workers who must transition to work-at-home, and those who work may be now part-time / part unemployed.
