NOV 14th HOLIDAY NIGHT MARKET

Join us for a fun and festive evening of holiday shopping featuring downtown shops, vendors, and more! In 2020 we bring the shopping outdoors in a fun, festive, and safe environment. Don’t forget to bring along your mask when you come. Located along the 500 block of Poplar Street, 400 Block of Race Street. Market Hours 4pm – 9pm. PLUS! Its the OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT showing of “Planes, Train, and Automobiles” featuring comedians Steve Martin and John Candy. Showing will take place next door to Black Water Bakery, 429 Race Street in their bakery parking area. Show starts at 6:00pm. Don’t forget your folding chair, and grab dinner from any of our downtown restaurants. The NIGHT MARKET takes place at the same time 4pm – 9pm along the 400 block of Race Street.

NOV 28th Small Business Saturday and RARTOONS

Come out and support Small Independent Business for the holiday season AND check out RARTOONS, a fun “Saturday morning cartoons” inspired good time with the folks at RAR Brewing. Poplar Street closure takes place 11am – 9pm when pedestrians can stroll the block, and dine outdoors.

NOV 29th ARTISTS SUNDAY

The national art shopping movement, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, November 29th, encouraging consumers to shop with artists and craftsmen. Think of it like Black Friday or Small Business Saturday but for the arts. Give something handcrafted this holiday season. Visit Main Street Gallery, 518 Poplar Street or Dorchester Center for the Arts, 321 High Street for fun, festive, and artsy gifts!

The SPRING VALLEY TREE LIGHTING will not host an event this year in 2020. The committee is working on setting up a tree and Cambridge Main Street will host a Facebook LIVE video of the tree lighting when it takes place, typically the Saturday following Thanksgiving. Follow us on Facebook for more information as it become available.

RFC HOLIDAY TRAIN GARDEN

Opening to the public in 2020 with limitations. December 1st through December 31st 2020.

DEC 5th SANTA COMES TO TOWN

Join RFC and SANTA at the Craig’s Parking lot, located next door to Craig’s Pharmacy, 409 Race Street for a chance to get up close to Cambridge Rescue Fire Company Trucks AND get a chance to meet SANTA. Social distancing and masks will be required. The fleet will land approx. 5pm and stay until 8pm. Please use the public parking areas located at Gay Street, Academy and Muse Street, Academy and Muir Streets, or street parking where available.

Bushel Basket Tree Lighting

Cambridge Main Street is working with the Bushel Basket committee to feature an “official” Bushel Basket Tree lighting at the Craig’s Parking lot at the same time as our RFC and Santa event above. Check back for more information.

DEC 19th LAST SATURDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Get all your last minute shopping done while you can and enjoy the rest of the week with your feet up, haha. Feeling a bit stuck? Get out and about in a socially distanced way, stroll the streets and peek in our merchant windows.

DEC 31ST DOWNTOWN BOAT DROP

Ring in the New Year – please 2021 lets get things right – in downtown Cambridge with a safe socially distanced NYE Boat Drop event on Poplar Street. Please bring your mask. More details to come.
